Custom Two Storey Home - Claremont

Our story starts back in 2010 when we moved to Perth from Melbourne. We decided to build a new home in Claremont, on a subdivided block in a great location. Things didn’t go quite according to plan. It took nearly a year for planning permission to be granted for the subdivision, and by then our financial situation was not looking too good.  We decided to sell the block of land.

We got a buyer fairly quickly, but then the buyer pulled out, leaving us with a problem. 

After reviewing our financial situation we decided to plug ahead with our original plan to build a new home. Enter Tristan Kirkham and New Home Building Brokers. Tristan put is in touch with a quality Perth home builder, who proved an excellent choice.  He (Tristan) also helped in finding the best home designer to create our dream within our budget, before we went out to the builders. NHBB also helped getting the planning permission granted and building approvals in a remarkably short space of time. They also provided independent guidance, monitoring and advice along the way, as this process was new to us. 

The construction of our double story home started in October 2012 and was finished in July 2013, ahead of schedule.  All in all this was a very positive experience and we strongly recommend Tristan and NHBB to anyone contemplating building their own home.
