Custom Design & Subdivision - North Beach

While researching options for a knock down and rebuild on our rental property we came across the NHBB website and were intrigued by what was being promoted.

We set up an initial meeting at our site where Tristan gave us advice on site preparation required and an idea of some of the costs, such as demolition, retaining and site works.  Tristan arranged a meeting with a Perth designer and we settled on an initial home design. He assisted us to navigate through planning processes and approvals, which in our case required a few obstacles to be overcome before planning approval was granted.

An important step was the cost comparison between Perth builders and what was included in each builder’s price, as well as addressing reasons for cost differentials. We met with a number of businesses before finally settling on a custom house builder for our home. Despite a number of false starts, when we were finally ready to build we were able to get our initial plans re-costed and commence work.

Our home builder was fantastic in suggesting improvements to design and putting us in touch with suppliers that could assist outside their scope of their work. Our block bordered 4 other properties and Tristan and our home builder assisted us in dealing with building issues that affected the other properties.

While not totally stress free, building a new home with Tristan and the builder has been a pleasant experience for us.

I would not hesitate in recommending NHBB to colleague’s friends and family who were considering a new home build.
